The Robinson water treatment plant is planning to repair and expand its existing facility instead of building a new one. This decision is in response to the increasing water demand in the community, particularly due to the upcoming Walmart milk processing facility, which is expected to use a large amount of water daily. The repairs, which will be funded through Certificate of Obligation bonds, will include installing shallower piping and replacing a liner in one of the raw water ponds. The City Manager assures that these repairs won’t impact residents’ utility bills.
